Two-channel video installation for a 16m long rectangular space, shot with stop-motion technique and real objects. Images of a door and a car in a white space are projected on the opposite smaller walls of the room. For the main part the objects only stand still. Every few minutes both the car and the door begin to glide simultaneously from one side to the other, finally hitting the walls with a growing speed. Together with sound design, panning inside the room, the piece creates an uncanny effect of the actual space swinging.

Horizon (Framed Out) / 2014 / video installation / 120cm x 210cm, 9min loop
A video loop that shows an archive safe deposit box vault taken over by flood. Sound of breaking waves is heard from outside. Occasionally a bigger wave runs over and the water floods in the space through the walls and between the deposits. The video is presented as a door size projection, in order to create a continuum to the exhibition space.

Frame (Deconstructed) / 2013 / video installation / 12h
A video installation in an empty, closed down movie theater in Helsinki center. Still in the 90’s the biggest movie theater in Helsinki closed down in 2010. I documented a 12h scene where 12 (apparently illegal) workers from Sri Lanka dismantled the huge 15 meters wide movie screen and all the supporting structures behind it. In the beginning of 2013 I organized a screening of the video, projected on the very same place where the screen used to be, in the empty colossal ruin of a theater space.

Sea (Three Borders) / 2012 / video, animation / 3min loop
For the main part the video shows an image of a classical sea painting. Every few minutes the painting begins to swing, after which the image pulls out from the painting. Camera tracks back to reveal the entire room, showing all the furniture swaying and sliding from edge to edge. Finally also the studio outside the set is revealed and the camera stops the movement. Workers are shown to set the interior props back into order and the camera tracks back into a close-up of the painting on the wall.

Verges ( Beginnings & Ends) / 2009 / 2-channel video / 1min loop
Two video loops in separate tv-monitors. Both images flash in turns every two second. The other shows flashy images that appear when an old tv-monitor is turned on. The other shows similarly images that appear when the tv is switched off.

Everything is OK / 2008 / video, animation / 2min 30s loop
Animation with a curtain, and a window with reflection of a room interior and nightly lights of Helsinki city. For the main part the video just shows the interior reflection and the moving lights outside. Every couple of minutes the room interior abruptly disintegrates and dismantles into pieces. In a few seconds it falls down and rebuilds itself like nothing had happened.
